Nancy Harvey, LMSW Executive Director Nancy Harvey, LMSW, has served as SPOP’s Executive Director since 1990. She is responsible for overall agency management including finances, human resources, fundraising and program development. Prior to this position Ms. Harvey was the Acting Executive Director for the Jamaica Service Program for Older Adults and the former Director of the JSPOA Friendship Center. Ms. Harvey received her Masters of Social Work at the State University of New York at Albany and her B.A. at the State University of New York, New Paltz. Robert Tobing Director of Program Operations Robert Tobing, LCSW, ACSW, CSWM, is responsible for all program operations at SPOP including the Clinic, the Adult Day Services, Bereavement Services, and the Training and Education programs. Most recently, Mr. Tobing had worked at the Henry Street Settlement, the Puerto Rican Family Institute, and the University Settlement Society. Mr. Tobing received his B.A. from Brooklyn College, and both his Master of Social Work and Post Graduate Certificate in Social Work Administration from Hunter College School of Social Work.
Henry Mallard, M.D. Medical Director Dr. Henry Mallard, Medical
Director, supervises all psychiatric services at SPOP. Dr. Mallard is
Board Certified in Psychiatry and Certified in Psychoanalysis.
Clinic Director Carola Chase Director of Bereavement Support Services Carola Chase, LCSW, is Director of Bereavement Support Services and Education & Training. Ms. Chase received her MSW from the Columbia University School of Social Work and received analytic training at The Contemporary Freudian Society. She was the 2009 recipient of the Anna Freud Award from the Anna Freud Foundation for a paper that was later published in The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child.
Director of Adult Day Services Robert Franco oversees the Social Adult Day Center and
Continuing Day Treatment Program at SPOP. He received an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York
University and has devoted his entire career to adult mental health care. Before joining the SPOP staff, he served as
Clinical Manager at Riverdale Manor Adult Home and as Director of Congregate
Programs at Beacon of Hope House, residential programs in the Bronx. Laura Langner Director of Administration, Quality Assurance and Compliance Laura Langner is responsible for agency Compliance, Quality Assurance/Improvement, Managed Care Development, Technology, Electronic Health Records, Intake, and Strategic Partnerships. Most recently Mrs. Langner worked as the Director of Risk Management and Compliance at the Educational Alliance, Inc. Mrs. Langner received her BSW from University of North Carolina. Janet Rosenberg Janet Rosenberg, Director of Development, joined the staff of SPOP in 2012. She manages all external communications and donor relations, including foundation, corporate, government and individual support. Her previous experience includes annual and capital fund raising for such institutions as the Council on Foreign Relations and DOROT. She has a B.A. from Trinity College and M.A. from the University of Connecticut. Mobin Siddiqui Director of Finance Mobin Siddiqui has been SPOP’s Director of Finance since 1992. Mr. Siddiqui oversees daily fiscal operations, billing and payroll. Mr. Siddiqui also prepares financial reports for government agencies, board, and auditors. Prior to SPOP, Mr. Siddiqui had worked at the Jamaica Service Program for Older Adults. Mr. Siddiqui has both a Bachelor of Commerce in Business from Karachi University and Bachelor of Accounting from Adelphi University. Matthew Halldorson Director of Accounts Receivable Matthew Halldorson, Director of Accounts Receivable, is a
graduate of Whitworth College. Before
joining the SPOP staff he worked at The Educational Alliance, where he managed
the business and administrative aspects of the agency’s outpatient mental
health and outpatient substance abuse clinics.
